Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Executive Chef Daniele Palanca began his culinary career at the tender age of 14 at Torino Restaurant and Banquet Hall. Mentored under Master Chef Glen X Van Blommestein, he then worked another five years for the very prestigious Hilton hotels throughout Europe and North America.
Daniele, an alumnus of the culinary school of St. Clair College of the Arts in Windsor, was formally trained in Rome, Italy under Executive Chef Massimo Bitto. Returning home to Windsor, he was the youngest Head Chef in the city at the age of 21, running a 210 seat fine dining restaurant in the heart of the city’s downtown core. He later ventured to one of the finest restaurants in the province headlining Spago Ristorante for nine years, at which time he was featured on The Food Network and The Discovery Channel.
Chef Daniele hosted a weekly cooking show that aired on Comcast as well as Cogeco cable networks, and also currently guest hosts for Fox TV. Daniele was featured on Lifetime networks “The Balancing Act” which aired in 2010 across the United States. He was named Chef of year by Biz X magazine the same year.
A proud father of 2 and happily married to his wife for 14 years. When not cooking, Daniele dedicates his time to his family.
